The beekeeper behind Madu Miodu honey
“The cleanliness of the surrounding forests, meadows and fields combined with perfect care for the condition of bee colonies are the foundation on which the brand and undisputed reputation of “Sądecki Bartnik” is based.”
When we decided to share the goodness of Polish honey to Malaysia, the next question that came to our mind was, which one should we choose? There are more than 75,000 active beekeepers. What immediately came to our mind was “Sądecki Bartnik”, one of the largest suppliers of natural honey and bee products in Poland and a brand we have been consuming for many years.

And it all started with one hive…
When the founder was still in elementary school, his mother Maria bought a beehive with bees so that the family would have honey to eat and to prevent the flu. As someone who has always been fascinated by nature, the founder spent a lot of time observing the bees and bumblebees flying around in the nearby meadows. He still remembers the first time he collected honey – without any beekeeping tools, holding a goose wing in his hand, a broken knife instead of a chisel, and a flour sieve on his face. 😊
And the taste of the first honey collected from his “apiary” had a huge impact on his entire adult life. It was then that he made a decision as a teenager – to become a beekeeper not only as a passion but also as a profession.
A lot has changed since then. Coworkers, orders, vans…gradually grew into a 21st century honey bottling plant with modern laboratories and qualified staff. His sons grew up and, to his delight, followed in their parents’ footsteps. They even have a beekeeping museum, restaurant and guest house.
They did not stop there, but continuously improved the requirements for product quality. Since 2008, they have started to carry out certification in the field of food safety standards and obtained AA-level BRC certification and the higher-level IFS certification.
We were deeply impressed by all the stories and information about Bartnik. We believe you will too. That’s why we want to introduce you to it. 😊
